Congresswoman Comstock and State Senator Wexton to debate on September 21
Lansdowne, VA – The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, along with regional business and academic partners, is proud to announce it has reached agreement with Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R) and State Senator Jennifer Wexton (D) to stage a debate between the two candidates that are seeking to represent Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.
Scheduled for Friday, September 21st, 2018 from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. at The National in Lansdowne, this debate is being held in partnership with the Dulles Regional, Greater McLean, Greater Reston, Northern Virginia, and Tysons Regional chambers of commerce, the Northern Virginia Technology Council and George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government.
“On behalf of our partners, I want to thank Congresswoman Barbara Comstock and Senator Jennifer Wexton for agreeing to join our region’s leading business and academic organizations for this debate. We look forward to hearing both Congresswoman Comstock and Senator Wexton share their thoughts on how they would work to improve the economic climate and quality of life for their constituents and for all Americans” said Tony Howard, President & CEO of the Loudoun Chamber.
The questions posed in the 2018 Virginia 10th Congressional District Debate will be exclusively derived from the issues and solutions found in the Loudoun Chamber’s 2018 Public Policy Positions. The candidates will be asked these questions by a panel of local business leaders, and those questions will not be shared in advance.
Tickets for this debate may be purchased online. A breakfast buffet will be served prior to the debate.
Only credentialed media will be allowed entry to cover this debate. Media wishing to be credentialed for this event must contact Eric C. Johnson, Government Relations Manager, in advance at 571-209-9024 or EJohnson@LoudounChamber.org.
