JNLV - Women Who Lead Conversation Series
The Junior League of Northern Virginia's (JLNV) Women Who Lead conversation series features women who are building better communities through their leadership in Northern Virginia and beyond. Their stories inspire us as we explore our own leadership journeys and realize the Junior League vision of becoming catalysts for lasting community change.
Join the JLNV Women Who Lead series as we hear from Lieutenant General Gwendolyn Bingham as she discusses her leadership journey, obstacles, achievements and reflections on lessons learned from her leadership experiences. Lieutenant General Gwendolyn Bingham has served over 30 years in the U.S. Army. She was the first woman garrison commander at Fort Lee, Va. In November 2010, she became the first woman to serve as Quartermaster General, and with the pinning of her first star in April 2011, she became the first African American woman general officer in the Quartermaster Corps. She is one of the few 3-star female general officers in Army history.
